What is the difference between an Interior Designer, Cleaning Service and Professional Organizer?
- An Interior Designer uses their creativity to design and enhance spaces to achieve a safer, healthier and aesthetically pleasing environment. You are typically advised to get rid of your clutter before the design process can begin.
- A Cleaning Service dusts, vacuums and cleans surfaces, toilets, bathtubs, kitchens, etc. They are not involved with creating systems to get you organized and have spaces remain that way.
- Professional Organizers help individuals control clutter by designing systems and processes using organizing principles and transferring skills to achieve a healthier, safer and aesthetically pleasing environment. Your Professional Organizer helps you decide what to keep or toss and finds the right place for your items so you always know where to find them.
Why should I hire a Professional Organizer?
Anyone who decides to hire a Professional Organizer has tried to organize themselves but become overwhelmed by the process. They often don't know how or where to start, lack the time to organize or have no desire to do it on their own.

Do you have a perfectly organized home?
It may be all in the appearances but I don't strive for perfection. I strive to have a place for everything and everything in its place. To keep my stress levels low, I create systems to keep clutter to a minimum making it easier for myself and family to maintain. If you know where to find it, then you know where it should return.
The greatest thing is that these systems are not set in stone. They may need tweaking from time to time as we go through lifestyle or physical changes.
Will you make me throw everything away?
Absolutely not! Throughout the organizing process we will help you determine what matters most. Those are keepers. We only want to get rid of the road blocks that interfere with daily living. The goal is to provide a functional aesthetically pleasing space that you will love and can easily maintain.
We will work on being as earth-friendly as possible by reducing, reusing and recycling. During the organizing process we focus on ways to reduce paper and clutter before it enters your home, reuse or repurpose what you already own and recycle or donate unwanted items.
Do I have to be present throughout the entire organizing process?
Initially you will be needed so we can identify your obstacles and create a system that makes sense and works with your lifestyle that you can utilize and maintain.
Once we have identified your needs, some tasks you may delegate like paper sorting and filing and it won't require you to be present. We can discuss what those tasks will be during our consultation.
How long will this take?
Timeframe will depend on the size and scope of the job, how long it takes you to make decisions on what to keep or toss and how motivated and focused you are to get through tasks or assigned homework.
The clutter didn't happen overnight, so it will take time to purge and develop new habits to keep spaces clutter free. With the aid of a Professional Organizer you'll begin to see changes within your first session. It's a great motivator to keep up the pace once you start seeing progress!
Should I buy containers before we start?
Not at all. Once we have purged and edited your items, we can determine what type and size container is needed. Often times, we are able to use what's already in hour home saving your wallet from unnecessary purchases.
Will you expose the pictures of my rooms for the world to see?
Pictures taken are for visual reminders of the space in its current state and helps with determining the best layout.

Can you help my grandmother with her clutter?
