Repurposing with a clear goal in mind, I made the most of the client’s IKEA Kallax shelving unit. With a swift relocation to the closet, thanks to the capable hands of my client’s handy husband, this piece of furniture underwent a transformation into a storage powerhouse.
In true IKEA fashion, the epitome of budget-friendly and practical solutions, their deep fabric bins emerged as the unsung heroes in this endeavour, effortlessly organizing and containing crucial items such as crib sheets, towels, swaddles, and extra wet wipes.
Closet Top Shelf Style
But that’s not all—utilizing the shelving unit’s top surface, I introduced a basket for those adorable little shoes and another bin with compartments (yes, also from IKEA!) to segregate smaller items like burp cloths, hats, and socks.
Size-Up Solution
The top shelf of the closet is now dedicated to the next-size-up baby clothes. Equipped with labelled clothing sizes, locating the perfect outfit for the growing girls will be a breeze for my client – simply grab and go!
Label Mania: Making Life Easier
And, just like on the shelves, I went label crazy! Introducing custom vinyl labels in a delightful shade of pink for that extra sweet touch. Everything is clearly marked for easy access and even easier cleanup. Because, let’s face it, parenting is an adventure, and I wanted my clients to navigate it with ease.

Beneath it all, I created a cozy corner for the baby hamper—let’s face it, those little ones generate a surprising amount of laundry with their quickly accumulating soiled clothes and burp cloths.
